JMB Creations

All of our jewelry is handmade by artist Jeanne Bautista.  Each piece is an original.  Jeanne works primarliy with natural stone,14 k-filled gold and Argentium Sterling Silver to create necklaces, bracelets and earrings.  She also does wire weaving and wire wrapping, creating necklaces, rings and bracelets, as well as wire-wrapped cabachon pendants.

 

The Cabachon pendant, pictured left is made from Butterfly Wing Jasper, wrapped with Argentium Sterling Silver.

 

 

 

 

JMB Creations takes pride in working with high quality gemstones, purchased through companies such as S&S Lapidary, a family-run business which  takes stones from the rough slab phase, all the way through to finely polished cabachons and beads.  Jeanne then uses either 14 k-filled gold, or Argentium Sterling Silver to wrap them, allowing the individual stone to dictate the design idea.  Jeanne choses to work with the more expensive filled gold, rather than gold plated metal, because metal that is plated is just covered with a thin layer of gold, which can be rubbed off in time.  Her choice of Argentium Sterling Silver, increasing each piece's value,  is due to its ability to resist tarnishing. 

 

The Cabachon pendant. pictured above, is made from Oregon Picture Jasper, wrapped in 14 k-filled gold, and done in a tree motif.
